What is BestSellerStats?
BestSellerStats provides current and historical sales results of the most popular products at Amazon.com. The top 100 bestsellers are organized by product category and can be sorted by price, customer rating, sales rank etc. Charts are also provided to allow our users to analyze the waxing and waning of sales rankings.
Why do you provide logarithmic charts?
In our opinion, a movement of a particular product from 10th position to 1st is as significant as a movement from 100th to 10th. Our logarithmic charts, therefore, are designed to highlight these significant sales movements.
How do you collect your data?
BestSellerStats relies on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to collect our data from Amazon's broad database.
Your data seems to differ from Amazon's site.
We collect fresh data regularly, and the data in the tables represent the most recent information provided by Amazon's website. As described in the legends, the charts represent 7-day moving averages of Amazon salesrank.
Why do you chart the 7-day moving average of salesrank?
Many items have drastic fluctuations in sales rates, and therefore direct charting would be very erratic. By using 7-day moving averages, we can analyze the salesrank without these spikes.
Which product categories do you track?
We track all the categories listed on the BestSellerStats homepage; these include all of the following: Books, DVDs, CDs, Cameras, Magazines, Electronics, Housewares, Software, Toys and Games, Ebooks, Tools and Hardware, and Gourmet Food.
Can I search through your results?
Absolutely! The bottom of each page, including this one, features a search bar that allows you to search through the current top 100 in all of the Best-Selling categories that we track.
